Double row spherical roller bearings

A spherical roller bearing is a rolling-element bearing that permits rotation with low friction and accommodates angular misalignment. Typically these bearings support a rotating shaft in the bore of the inner ring that may be misaligned in respect to the outer ring. The misalignment is possible due to the spherical internal shape of the outer ring and the spherical rollers.

Advantages

  • Very high radial and axial load-carrying capacity, supporting both heavy radial and axial loads
  • Up to five times higher load capacity compared to standard ball bearing units
  • Self-aligning capability, allowing compensation for shaft misalignment during operation
  • Better performance in vibrating or heavily loaded rotating machinery

Use a double row spherical roller bearing when:

  • Very heavy radial or axial loads are present
  • Shock loads or vibration are severe
  • The machine operates in harsh industrial environments
  • Maximum durability and load capacity are required

Typical applications

  • Crushers
  • Mining equipment
  • Heavy conveyors
  • Paper mills
  • Vibrating screens

The double row spherical roller bearing is available with three shaft fixation options: adapter sleeve, set screw, and cylindrical bore mounting. See the full shaft fixation options guide for videos and details.
